Tom Samlaska is a finance professional who brings over 30 years of experience to the CFO Systems team. He has an extensive background in developing and leading financial strategy, operations, and transformation for manufacturing, distribution, and healthcare companies ranging from $25M private equity-backed firms to global corporations exceeding $3B in revenue.
Known for developing strong financial processes and leveraging data-driven insights that drive growth while serving in roles including CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, and Director of Finance, he has guided organizations through acquisitions, restructurings, market expansions, and business sales.
Tom excels at translating complex financial and operational data into actionable management information and building tools, metrics, and reporting structures that enable executives and boards to monitor performance, manage risk, and seize opportunities. His experience includes FP&A, P&L management, cash flow forecasting, audit, product costing, acquisition modeling and integration, and performance improvement using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Tom holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing and dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. He maintains active professional engagement through CFOLC, FEI, and IMA, and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt and CMA.
