Edgar has a thorough history in the grain industry throughout the Midwest as exemplified by his tenures within commercial futures, major exporters such as Cargill, managing and living in rural communities, and stints at the Chicago Board of Trade.

Experience
Edgar’s clientele ranges from farmer accounts, as he advised them on marketing concepts, to serving several Fortune 100 food accounts with price protection strategies. He has worked as a general manager with the Farmers Cooperative in Clarks, NE and as a barge/rail grain merchandiser with the Pillsbury Company. He has assisted rural communities in developing alternative grain marketing strategies and in establishing 501(c)(3) organizations.
Edgar currently serves on Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman’s Rural Development Commission, Congressman Lee Terry’s Ag Advisory Team, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Agricultural Advisory Committee, and the USDA’s Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) Advisory Committee. He is a former member of the USDA Emerging Markets Advisory Committee and past chairman of the Executive Committee of the Nebraska State Grange (America’s oldest farmer-based organization). His experiences with communities, businesses, and government make Edgar ideal to serve the renewable fuels industry.
